The West's Diggers club - a major venue for the Tamworth Country Music Festival, is doing their bit for the environment by powering all gigs with 100% accredited GreenPower.
West Entertainment Group chief executive officer, Rod Laing, said “we are always looking at ways to do our bit for the environment, late last year it was the installation of water tanks at Wests’ Leagues, and now for the festival we have GreenPower at Diggers.”
“People are increasingly concerned about their impact on the environment, those visiting Diggers during the festival can go in the knowledge that their enjoyment is being powered by green sources.”
Wests’ Diggers operates one of the premier entertainment venues over the festival. The entire club will be powered by 100% accredited GreenPower, including daily live entertainment, Smoky’s and Pedros restaurants and the bar.
Country Energy’s regional general manager, Matt Patterson, said “we are pleased to have been able to partner with Wests by powering the Diggers venue with 100% accredited GreenPower.”
“Subscribing to accredited GreenPower is one of the easiest ways for an individual to minimise their environmental impact, and stimulate investment in renewable energy generation and infrastructure,” Matt said.
